Sorry for the lateness. Buying a business is hard work and I haven't even forked over any money yet!
Angel, hope you like the Lyle/Brainy, it was a little different than I expected but I think it came out alright.

Pet
He stroked long fingers down the length of a long sleek back. Muscles shifted and stretched under his hand, arching up towards him. A soft rumble rose from the powerful body curled up next to him.
He slid one metal finger under the black and red leather collar and tugged lightly. A low whine was the only reaction as he slipped his hand around the chain link leash and picked it up.
He didn't know who had done this to his friend but he would certainly find out.
Fur shifted, red so dark it was nearly black, and Cable prepared to be attacked. No claw touched him. The sleek panther merely stood by his side.
He led the beast past the mauled men who had attempted to take Deadpool from the room and returned to the doorway where his fellow X-men waited.
Soft fur brushed against his calf and thigh. Lingering just at the edge of his hearing, rough but unmistakable, Wade was purring.
If only he could only keep the man this way; he would make a truly wonderful pet. But he would miss the jokes and the slim chance that there might be something more than friendship between them.
Even when the mission continued and the X-men sought the magic-user responsible for all their current problems, he found his fingers constantly stroking silky soft fur. It was both strangely satisfying to listen to Wade's purring and vaguely wrong.
Deadpool was never soft. He missed the addictive and ever-changing roughness of the other man's scars.

Game
After so many years it had become a game to Clark.
One that he rarely managed to win.
Bruce was such a reserved and private man. So in control all the time.
It had become a challenge. Quite a fun one.
Exactly how much the man could take before reacting was truly amazing.
He shifted his foot again, curling his toes slightly and rubbing hard little circles against kevlar covered steel.
Damn Bat had taken to further reinforcing his armour on the occasions he joined the Justice League for meetings. But judging from his temperature and heart rate he must be quite uncomfortable.
Without changing his expression at all and while still seeming to pay upmost attention to the Flash's report; he slid his foot down to the more lightly armoured area at the back of Batman's knee.
He brushed the side of his foot against the kevlar there just hard enough that Bruce could feel it. He kept going. Funny that the man was ticklish there of all places.
The darker man stiffened ever so slightly, his eyes narrowing but never leaving the Flash.
Wally stumbled over his words wondering what he'd done wrong to deserve the glare and raced through the rest of his report.
The meeting finally finished and the group spilt up going their separate ways.
As Wally sped past Superman and Batman on his way to the cafeteria he caught a few snippets of a hissed conversation.
"... don't do that! It's..."
"....don't usually complain when I..."
"We're not in the cave, Clark."
The Flash started to slow, curiosity clawing at him but wisely chose to flee instead when the masked man turned to snarl at him.
He had to get to the bottom of this, really carefully. It wasn't wise to get on Batsy's bad side. But then again, he had a hundred dollars in the pool.

Sensitive
It was strange how someone who seemed so cold and uncaring could really be so sensitive.
When Brainy snarled and stalked away from fight with their leader; when he disappeared after any conversation in which someone called him emotionless; when he left during any speech or event to commemorate a dead legionnaire; the others all thought he simply could not be bothered to waste his time on them. They all thought he was arrogant and aloof. That he thought he was better than the rest of them. That they didn't matter.
Lyle knew better.
The Coluan simply didn't want anyone to see his tears, his grief or him hurting emotionally. It wasn't proper or civilized.
But Lyle saw.
He watched silently from an out of the way corner of Brainy's lab. Watched the young green man shake and cry quietly. Watched him grieve alone. Watched him throw himself so far into his work to forget a pain that he also forgot to eat and drink.
When he finally reached out to the other it was only when he was certain of the reaction.
He watched tears trickle from beneath closed eyes. Watched them slide over green skin. He reached out and placed his own pale hands on smooth cheeks.
Tears gathered on his fingers as he stared into startled emerald eyes. Fear, shock, grief and anger warred there but Lyle had no intention of giving Brainy long enough to hide his emotions this time.
He leaned in close and kissed the other boy. Butterfly light, his lips brushed against Brainy's. He whispered against his friend's ear. "You don't have to hide from me, Querl."
Silence stretched out for long minutes.
Eventually a warm weight pressed against him.
Lyle wrapped his arms around the Legion's resident genius and just held him while he cried.
