The Christmas season..

So, the season is upon us, that warm-fuzzy/stressful/hectic/wonderful time of the year that celebrates Christ's birth. Of course, the stores have been celebrating Christmas since before Halloween. ;) But now is the time that we normal people join in as well ( Read more... )

Yeah, a thought that goes along with that: When you get tired of some singer or band's music a few years down the road or you just get sick of the CD and stop listening to it, you're not going to care *who* gave it to you. Something a bit more personal, or even the card that went along with the CD, doesn't have that particular problem.

*But* that doesn't mean people should stress over "Oh, man, gotta choose a gift that will be memorable forever" either. ;) If you give (and of course no one should be obligated to, but it's something friends and family often like to do of course), then it's all about the attitude and reason. A gift given because you know it's something they will really like is different than a gift given because you know it's something they like.. woah.. confuse anyone? I think I just confused myself. Haha. Girls are confusing. I admit it.

Well, just look at JoDee's example. A CD, wrapped in tissue paper, no note. That doesn't look like they really cared what the gift was. They just did it, and were done with it. Even though it's something the person technically wanted, the effect just isn't there. Make any sense? No? Maybe?

*laughs*

Oh, and another no, no. Don't do eni-mini-mo on people in front of them when choosing who gets what gift... it will tick the people off.

Speaking of all this...I need to order Fruits Basket....anyways, that was very...helpful Ari :P.
And I'm sure that I can see all males who read this rushing inside a Body and Bath shop...
Anywho, I still have no idea what to get Sora.....maybe I shall get her some booze and cigs, and buy her a trash compactor....

That makes sense, but I still don't like choosing gifts, I have no idea if the person will really like it and I have no idea if they will just go to the store and turn it in :P.
