Part 7 of the CAA fanfic - Is this so horrible that even the author would forget it? D:

Part 7:

Author's notes: I wake up this morning, still rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and I decide to check Twitter. And while I was thinking over my responsiblities for the day, I tried to remember what day it was. Of course, it was OH MY GOSH, IT'S THURSDAY.  And I continued to run around in panic for a few seconds.
I mean, it's not like anyone actually remembered this anyway right? So, it's okay if the author forgot she had promised to update right...right?Luckily, I had already written some notes earlier for this chapter, so I wasn't totally in the dark on what to write on this chapter.
Also, I couldn't get the war room scene in the chapter. 8( There was just too much to wrap up or get going, depending who's story you're looking at.
I also plan to introduce quite a few more characters in the next chapters to come and they will all hopefully play vital roles in the story. So, that's something interesting to look forward to.

There may be a few disppointing things in this chapter, but it will all work out for the best in the end, maybe, I think, I realy hope, at least. XD;

Also, before I forget, I'm going to start adding the tag, "CAAfanfic" onto each new chapter (and the old ones when I remember to do it XD) just for those of your who get into reading this late in the game and want to find the previous chapters among the rest of the entries. ^_^

EDIT: LJ cut, so help me, I will kill you if you don't work. >B[

So, without further ado, the next chapter. Comments and constructive critisism are welcome, as always.

Shooby closed his cell phone and sighed. Things continued to become more complicated. There was no doubt that UC could take care of himself, but with the possibilty that Toonman or even some higher troll power could control the microchips in the alliance members worried Shooby.
"I'm going to need some crackers and Marmite for this." he mumbled to himself as he saw Nate emerge from hospital room, fully changed.
"Allright." Shooby quickened his step going down the hospital hall, and passing Nate, motioned for him to follow. "We don't have much time, but we'll have to make do with what we have. This," Shooby turned around to face Nate (still walking, but backwards) and held up a small vial filled with a bright green liquid, "is the cure to the Humor-less epidemic. Or, at least, if my theory is correct, and it usually is, it will wipe out any trace of the disease off the whole face of the earth." Shooby flipped back around and stopped abruptly in front of a janitorial closet.
"Uh, what do you mean, exactly?" Nate was skeptical as he eyed the strange liquid in the vial Shooby was clutching.
Shooby looked both ways down the hall to check if anyone was in sight. When he decided the coast was clear, he opened the closet.
"You're going to cure the disease." Shooby held out the vial to Nate, "There's a certain hotspot in the middle of Oklahoma that should work." Nate took the vial carefully and Shooby cleared the mops, buckets, and brooms away from the floor of the janitorial closet to reveal a trapdoor in the floor. Shooby opened it.
"This is a passage to the sewer tunnels. It may be your best bet to get out of the state. You can take the tunnels all the way to Oklahoma." Shooby stepped back away from the open trapdoor.
"All the way to Oklahoma? Walking?" Nate raised an eyebrow at Shooby.
"Of course you won't walk all the way, I mean, well, you'll see. Just go, you're running out of time." Shooby gave Nate a little push towards the trapdoor, "Also, under no circumstances should you open the vial until you get to the surface of Oklahoma. The substance quickly releases into the air it may be the only chance we have."
Nate started climbing down the trapdoor, suddenly happy that he had his pasta bowl before this.
"Oh! I almost forgot." Shooby reached into his labcoat pocket and pulled out a mini GPS, "This will help you out. Good luck." he smiled.
"Thanks." Nate gave a lazy salute and disappeared through the trapdoor and shut the door behind him.
Shooby quickly rearranged the mops, buckets and brooms over the door and closed the closet door just in time to see two nurses turn into the hallway. Shooby leaned against the door and smiled at the two nurses until they walked past him.
"Now," Shooby strolled slowly down the hall, "time for that Marmite."

Rushia, even though she was known for being a sharpshooter, couldn't seem to land a good hit on this 15 year old boy called Luneth. He was suprisingly nimble, even for a teenage boy; and this Luneth also seemed different from the discriptions Corrie had given her about him. Maybe Corrie was losing her memory, or maybe something darker was at work here. Rushia didn't have much time to think about this dilemma while she dodged blasts from Luneth's bazooka. These blasts came closer and closer to hitting her each time they were fired.

Come on, pull yourself together and focus. You can get him. He's just like any other troll, you can take him.

Except, this was easier said than done. Rushia dodged another blast that came way too close to her right leg than she would have liked. She fired three lightning quick shots that hit on the wall behind where Luneth had been standing. Rushia barely had time to see the green troll catching slime dripped down the side of the wall as she dodged yet another attack from Luneth. She needed a new strategy and quick.

Jamie regretted leaving Rushia alone to fight Luneth, but continually tried to convince himself that she's a trained professsional and everything will be fine. Still, Luneth seemed different from what he was before, which left a hint of worry in the pit of Jamie's stomach.
It took him some time to locate a computer that could show him a map of the maze-built submarine and finally determine that Corrie must be locked in the room entitled "preeson 4 eveel pepol". This room was just up ahead.
He grabbed the handle to open the door; locked of course. He stood back and shot the lock mechanism with his stun gun and quickly flung the door open. Through the door was a large warehouse type room and near the middle of the room, there was a pile of ten robots, much like the ones he and Rushia had encountered on their way inside. The robots were clearly wrecked and on top of the pile stood the one and only, Grammar Ranger. She noticed Jamie peering through the door.
"Hey Jamie!" she called out with a very large grin on her face, "Nice to see you. What are you doing here?"
Jamie stepped through the doorway, "Nice to see you too, Corrie. We're here to rescue you, actually. But it seems like that's already being taken care of."
Corrie hopped down from the pile of robots and jogged across the room and up the stairs to where Jamie was standing, "Well, not entirely taken care of, I still need to get out of here. Uh, where are we anyways?"
"Inside a submarine, believe it or not." Jamie answered, smiling a bit nervously, "It took us a while to even find you because of that."
"A submarine?" Corrie's eye's widened, "Well, that would explain a few things and, wait, you said 'we' and 'us', who's with you?"
"Rushia, of course."
"Where is she now?" A hint of panic could be heard in Corrie's voice.
"Oh, that's right." Jamie remembered and started back out the doorway, "I left her fighting Luneth. But she should be able to take care of him, right?"
"With Luneth? Well, yes, on any other day, she'd be brilliant against him, but I think that translator of his does more than make his voice better." Corrie jumped ahead of Jamie out of the door and rushed down the sub's corridors, with Jamie right on her heels.
"What do you mean?" Jamie called to her as they both turned a sharp corner and continued running.
"I hope I'm wrong, but that translator has made Luneth stronger. I don't know how, but I do know he couldn't have made something like that on his own." Corrie turned another sharp corner, almost skidding into the wall, "He kept referring to some 'Master' person too. And Toonman; he also mentioned him."
"That would explain where he got all the robots and a bazooka."
"He has a bazooka?!" Corrie stopped in mid stride and Jamie almost ran into her, "That's not good." Corrie paced back and forth quickly. She suddenly looked up at Jamie with her trademark "XD" expression on her face, "Also, Jamie, where's the main control room, I think I'm lost?"

A loud, resounding thud was heard in the well lit hallway. Four figures landed from falling seemingly out of nowhere near one end of the hallway.
"Is everyone okay?" Goldy questioned as she stood up, holding the side of her head.
"Yeah, I'm all good." Eric answered, struggling to his feet.
"I'm fine." Fish stood up as well and brushed off his coat.
"All good here. That was a pretty rough landing." Peanut ran his hand through his hair looking around the hallway.
"Yeah, that's one of the bugs of the system, unfortunately." Goldy blinked quickly a few times and look about the hallway as well. It was a long hallway, but the pair of large, wooden doors on the opposite end could be clearly seen. The hallways was painted a light cream and was filled with pictures.
"Oh, this must be the Hall of Heroes." Eric commented as he walked forward and looked at one of the pictures.
"The Hall of Heroes?" Goldy's eyes brightened, "Wow, I've only heard about it, but I've never seen it."
"Yeah, it used to be open to the public," Peanut strolled over to one of the pictures, "but that was long ago and before you joined the alliance."
"I've never seen this either," Fish added, clearly interested, "I think the others will take a while to get to the war room, so we may as well have a look at what's here."
"Fine by me, but don't blame me if we miss getting some of Ark's sandwiches." Goldy shrugged and started looking through the pictures.

The first thing Lucky heard after Ark had said, "Okay ready?" was a loud *thump* which was folloed by a sudden pain shooting through her back.
"Oooowwie..." Lucky whined as she sat up. She was sitting in a dark storage room with many boxes around her. The teleport must have worked, though she couldn't sure this was Toonman's base.
Lucky stood up carefully and brushed off her pants, just then, her phone rang, making her jump in fright. She fumbled in her pocket to find her phone and answer it.
"Hello?" she whispered into the phone.
"Lucky? Oh thank goodness you're okay." A cute, worried voice said through the phone; it was Mina.
"Uh, Mina, this isn't really a good time..." Lucky opened the storage room door slightly and looked outside. No guards, good.
"How could you go into something that hadn't been tested yet? You could have lost your head or an arm. You should really be more careful." Lucky could almost imagine Mina's wide eyes and sad face.
"I'll be fine, but how did you know that I used the teleporter?" Lucky checked her troll catcher to make sure it was cocked and ready.
"I got a text from Goldy summoning us all for a war room meeting, and as you know, the war room is in Ark's basement. But I knew you should have come with us, if I knew Ark was going to make you- hey, give that back!" Mina's voice faded out and a new voice came on the phone.
"Did you make it okay, Lucky?" Ark asked.
"Yeah, I'm in a storage closet though, I think."
"That's fine. I think I put you pretty close to the control room which is where the machine that teleported UC should be. I'm half way through charging the Disengager, so stay on the line."
"The Disengager?" Lucky asked, still whispering as she sneaked out the storage room doorway and down the hallway.
"Yeah, it's the name I gave to the small gun I gave you." Ark sounded a little proud.
"Okay, just let me know when it's ready." Lucky continued down the hall, then entered into a large room that was littered with electronical equipment.
"This must be the control room..." Lucky stepped carefully into the room, being careful to not trip over stray wires.
"I've been waiting for you, Lucky." A voice bellowed from the far side of the control.
Lucky wheeled around quickly; her troll catcher aimed at the direction the voice was coming from. Then she saw who it was.
"No...no, it can't be." Her eyes widen with shock.
"It is I, indeed. I was hoping you'd fall into my trap." The man snickered. "I was worried when I had Toonman pick the bait, but I guess I should trust his abilities more."
Lucky regained her composure and adjusted the aim of her troll catcher to the head of the man, "Oro," she almost spat, with her eyes narrowed. "what are you doing here?"
"Fulfilling my dreams, Lucky." Oro had an evil grin on his face, "When I was kicked out of your and your friends' dumb alliance, I was broken, hurt, and in the deepest pits of depression. But then, I got a second chance, told that my skills were worth something, and that I could get revenge for what you all did to me." Oro walked slowly closer to Lucky, "Which of course, will start with you."

Rushia felt that she had tried every trick in the book against this guy, but she still couldn't hit him once.
"I grow tired of this cat and mouse game." Luneth finally sighed, overdramatically, and flipped a switch on his bazooka. "Prepare to die." The bazooka began to glow a firey red and shot out a huge glowing stream of laser at Rushia.
There was no time to try to dodge. Rushia closed her eyes, this must be the end.
Four seconds after the laser should have hit Rushia, she opened her eyes to see the Grammar Ranger facing her with her coat spread out as a shield.
"Corrie." Rushia gasped, "Your coat can deflect lasers?"
"Weeeell, yes, but it makes the material smell funny afterwards." Corrie threw back the ends of her coat and turned to face Luneth.
"H-how did you get free?" Luneth stuttered, trying to recharge his laser bazooka.
"Punctunation is more powerful than you may think, Luneth. Despite your rather enhanced powers and unusually better grammar, your time has run out." Corrie answered and added to Rushia, "Finally."
"Now," Corrie pulled out an apostrophe and Rushia positioned herself next to Corrie and aimed her troll catcher at Luneth, "We will end you!" they shouted in unison.
Luneth let out a cry of terror that sounded much like, "Eeeehugimuu!", dropped his bazooka, and rushed over to the control computer keyboard, pressed a few buttons and vanished in a flash of light.
There was a few minutes of frozen silence in the room.
"That's," Rushia lowered her troll catcher, "just not fair. That's not fair at all."
"Luneth never did play fair." Corrie disappointedly stuffed the apostrophe back in her pocket.
"Well, forget him for now," Jamie, who was standing to the side all this time, "I just realized that I got a missed text from Goldy. She's calling for a war room meeting."
"The war room is on the other side of country though." Rushia sighed.
"Aww, don't worry, Rushiar, we have a high speed submarine now." Corrie grinned and motioned to the controls of the sub.
