Heh... So is it safe to say that I haven't gotten anything stolen yet? Or is that going to warrant things thrown at me in disgust? I mean, it could very well be possible that I haven't noticed anything missing

Ugh, I know exactly what you're talking about. That along with the basic food rations are horrible. I think I lost quite a bit of weight when that was pretty much my diet for about a year. No wonder you seem so happy whenever I see you in the cafeteria, Mr. Scott!
Heheh, well, many don't know this, but I was a bit of a daredevil right after I graduated Star Fleet Academy and bounced all around doing various transport missions nonstop. After about a year I got really burnt out (and apparently quite hungry!) and settled for more stable piloting jobs before I was offered this position.
I think it was a good thing you were stationed for only 6 months; you were able to leave before you went stir crazy.
If it hadn't been for the captain, I'd still be stuck back there.
At least I shouldn't have to worry about that cabin fever Doctor Dehner's been talking about. If I could survive six months on Delta Vega with no one but Keenser to talk to, I'm sure I can survive on a starship.
Hm, very true! I probably would've lost my mind if I did the same thing day in and day out and only saw a couple people.... wait. That sounds eerily like what I'm doing here now! Hahah, I'm only kidding, of course.
I'm quite content here, and I'm sure a mission or something will happen to stir things up. It sounds to me you live to be an engineer (such passion is duly noted!), so I can't see you getting bored anytime soon :)
Oh, you know me and Mr. Sulu, doing loop-de-loops, barrel rolls, haphazardly using the warp drive and exhausting the engines. It's how do our job here!
Just as I thought. You should step out a teeny tiny bit more often. I think the only time I actually see you, other than when you were at the party, is when you're grabbing some food to return back there.
I go out every once in a while. Why, just the other day I was up on Deck Nine, fixing up the lights, which have absolutely nothing to do with the engine room.

Though, knowing the captain, I'll be looking at a month's worth of repairs two hours into the next mission.

I say that all in jest of course!

You know we'd never do that on purpose

I know that, lass, but... It's just the thought of it, the poor ship being mistreated like that... Why, it's almost more than a man can bear!

Mm, maybe... but, don't worry! Really, we try our best.
Mr. Scott, how often are you NOT in the boiler rooms and the inner workings of the ship?
Reply
Often enough. A man's got to sleep, after all.

Even the captain takes time off the bridge.

Hm, ok, let me try asking you this: What do you like to do for fun, or on your free time, Mr. Scott?
