[Leto actually is going to the carnival. Find him in one of two places:
1: He is at the Great Mysterio's stand. The masked droid has ahold of his hand. The sandtrout that dot it are visible now. He appears to be...testing himself. As fast as Mysterio predicts things, he's doing the same, matching his pace. Is this cheating? Or is he cheating himself?
2: He is also at the Megamarksman booth, crouched. He's racking up an incredible score. There's already a pile of tchotchkes and plushies next to him. If you look closely, however you can see he seems to be aiming at the targets before they appear.]

For our little society, festivals serve the function of releasing pressure, not just for the individual but also for the group. People are allowed the illusion of thrills and of freedom.
