Another holiday related question...From my studies, I remember that Saint Valentine was a martyr of the Christer religion of old Terra. He was beaten to death and then beheaded.
Now I understand that brutality runs strong in our ancestors. If they weren't brutal they never would have survived long enough to become ancestors after all. And you can't expect much from a religion whose symbol is a torture implement.
But is this honestly the occasion to which romantic love is consecrated? Seriously?
And on the subject of torture implements, myself, Meryl, Mark and Norma have recently returned finished our survey of the ruins second level.
