instead of being your average mom who has a "mom blog", i'm going to be your average old lady who has a "shit that pisses me off" blog. actually, the only old lady i know with a blog is my 82 year old grandma. she posts photographs of flowers that she's taken, and writes about how wonderful her family is. but don't you worry, there will be no feel-good stories in my blog. i am tentatively thinking itgrindsmygears.blogspot.com, if it's not already taken. will let you know.
the new furniture arrives tomorrow. the in-laws took us shopping at ikea this weekend. it was sweet! we'll use the entertainment center to make a wall between the living room and dining rooms, and with the help of a baby gate, create a space for bambino. right now there's a row of boxes serving this purpose, but big wal can push them out and escape. popeye! we also got a nice shag rug. i don't know how ikea does it. i hate it but at the same time, when i'm there, i want to buy everything.
