I'm afraid that dinner I promised you may be some time coming. My apologies, for that.

[Filter: Adelle Vaux]

Do you have time to spare for your most monstrous relation?

Perhaps he ran out of ink.

But if you ran out of ink wouldn't it look like the start of letters ?

In an unusual fit of wisdom, I decided I had nothing worth wasting the ink on.

Oh.

Sorry for asking, then.

It's nothing.

The Ledgers are nearly perpetually quiet, anyways. It seems wasteful, doesn't it?

I don't know, really. I just got mine back after my sister took it

Maybe people are just filtering a lot ?

Oh?

You're probably right. That makes it all the more vexing.

I wonder if there isn't a way to circumvent that. Although I suppose that would involve some dire magics only the Hour has access to.

One could always steal another's ledger to see what all has been filtered, I imagine.

Though that does bring up the question: Does the Hour already have such magics? And are they keeping tabs on what is said behind filters?

That's terrible!

Which part is more terrible, I wonder?

notveryeffectiv June 26 2011, 02:55:58 UTC
Stealing people's ledgers!

But the other part is terrible too...

I suppose stealing probably does carry a harsher penalty than eavesdropping.

notveryeffectiv June 26 2011, 03:03:06 UTC
Yeah. It definitely does.

But if the Hour was eavesdropping... [Nope we're not going there Baxter, line of thought SO dropped]

That would depend on whether or not you were found out, now, wouldn't it?

Reply

maisonfaux June 26 2011, 03:13:14 UTC
That would be the crux of the matter.
