Recently, Lena's been very, very confused. She has no idea what exactly is happening to her, and there is no concrete way of explaining it. She's prettier than a human should be, sounds better than a human should, and drowns things with an ardor more violent than anyone should have. The last thing unhinges her more than she's willing to acknowledge. Lena may be a bitch, but she's never known herself to be physically violent toward other living things. The trail of dead forest creatures she's left behind in the span of three days is absolutely frightening. Inside, she is distraught and lost.

Of course, outside, she is on her merry way to climbing the Hour's ranks. Upon Adrian's suggestion (though he's disappeared sob), she's talked to Ezra about a promotion. She's not entirely sure she's ready for the responsibility. While innately she is a very organized and meticulous leader, she's never actually gotten to explore this and has no idea what she may or may not be capable of. But she's fighting, and she's not giving up.

Family-wise, she's relieved Elia's back. She wants his approval more than anything, even if she's not inclined to show it. Dee is a constant, as always, though Lena still has more than her fair share of reservations about the marriage to Diya. She worries about Lucia - things have not been smooth sailing for the older twin lately, and that's not going to be far from Lena's mind.

In light of recent events, she's starting to think of marriage. She doesn't want Dee on unequal footing with her husband, and she acknowledges that it's a great way for her to further herself. Marriage is hardly as ignominious a surrender as sex, so while she has difficulty stomaching the idea, she believes she can tolerate it. But that's the least of her priorities.

As of yet, it's not unfair to say that, as a character, Lena's half-baked. I really want to expand her sphere of acquaintances and get her embroiled in some drama, especially with her believing she is turning into an Other (something that may or may not be returned to at a later date, as I think it's at a point where only a tiny bit more Belief would definitely push her over the threshold). Obviously there's gunning for Magistra Balgham and such, but likely the results of that pursuit will be beyond the scope of the game. Essentially, there are no solid and specific short-term plots as of now, but I'm getting there, hopefully.
