[her mothers are gathered around a small fire, laughing and smiling. erme as a young girl sits in one of their laps, laughing and pretending to understand the stories they tell.]

[standing at the edge of a precipice, ermesinda looks down a long moment, clearly frightened, before she closes her eyes, breathes deep, and jumps. the landing isn't seen, but clearly heard is the sound of bones breaking]

[ A unicorn appears on stage. A leather cord drapes loosely around her neck; a dirty ledger hangs from its joined ends.

She seems hesitant, but drawn to the witch. After a pause, she takes a few steps towards her. Suddenly, an arrow whizzes from the side and lodges itself in-between her ribcage. Olinda rears up, crying out in surprise and pain.

From behind the curtains pour a group of men wielding swords and arrows. Olinda turns to face them, crushing several under the weight of her hooves, but there are too many of them. Her white coat is quickly turning red with her own blood. ]
