[War, earthquakes, rain of monsters, and then being human for a week, he had hoped that slight grinding noise he was hearing in his prosthetic arm would have been repaired. No such luck. In fact, it seems like it might have gotten a little worse. The response time seems a little slow, which isn’t good for a quick draw expert ( Read more... )

[If he's in the flower shop, he might find Raine in the back, who has been visiting the shop to check in on the plants for the past two days, even if the past few weeks have been too hectic to get anyone else to help with that. At least most of the dead ones had been removed by now, though the ones that could be saved would take a bit more time and energy.]

[Actually, she might have spotted Vash in and out of the shop. He hasn't been able to come back until before the monsters started to rain from the sky. He then became too busy trying to fight them. After that, he just plum forgot about it - he just wasn't himself.]

Hello there.

[Raine had been rather preoccupied for the weeks following the draft anyway, starting with recovering from the porch falling on her head and then dealing with the resulting issues afterward. At least now it's a task she can set herself to that isn't too taxing. Among other things.]

Hm...? Ah, good afternoon.

... All right. When you finish that... there's a lot of dried leaves and petals scattered around that should probably be swept up, too.

Thank you. [She gives him a small smile, then focuses her attention back onto the plants, using some earth magic to stimulate the more damaged ones.]

[Vash gets to work. Watering the plants he knows how to take care of and cleaning up anything he can. As much as he loves flowers he also knows he knows little of taking care of them. So he's happy to leave that to you.]

[Some of the plants seem to look improved almost as soon as she tends to them; others seem to be taking more time to respond. She hopes that this batch can be saved, anyway, but it's enough to make her sigh quietly.]

Some of them are still worse off than I thought. It's probably to be expected, but even so ...

I hope we can save them.

I was considering taking a couple of the ones that seem the worst off back to the house with me. It'll probably be easier to look after them there.

That might not be a bad idea. I could take a few home with me too to help lighten your load. I'm not great with the plant healing magic yet, but I'm getting better.
