A rivalry goes so deep...

...between me and this loss of sleep over you.

I haven't been able to sleep this week. I don't know if it's because my hotel room is so cold, or because I have so much else on my mind, but I have not been sleeping well. I think I might be getting back into my old "school" habits of staying up until 3 or 4 and then crashing until 8 - only now, it's 6:30, since I have to get ready for work. Boo.

Travel for work is overrated. Yeah, I get everything (meals, hotel, etc) for free, but I spend almost 24 hours a day with the same 3 people (2 of whom LOVE to hear themselves talk and make fun of me, and usually do so simultaneously... the other guy is really cool. But he child-locked me into the car today at lunch, because they think I am such a baby. Hilarious, isn't it?). I would MUCH much rather be in Chicago chilling with Eric and Gerdts right about now. :(

So yeah, work isn't really going as well as expected. On that note - I have to decide really soon if I'm going to take a full-time offer or not. On the plus side, I LOVE Chicago, I would get to keep my laptop for senior year, the people are relatively nice (though major corporate sell-outs, and we have nothing in common), and the money is okay (though not as good as investment banking). On the minus side, it seems like you're really bored until you finally get on a job, when you have to stay really late every night and give up your social life, so the hours are really erratic. Also, I have the feeling a lot of people here think I'm stupid. I have no idea why; I am always asking for work and doing everything I can to help, but most of the days I just sit here and look stuff up on the internet... or else data entry. I do NOT want to do that forever. Or even for a year.

Decisions, decisions, decisions. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated. PLEASE. :) (Especially you kids who: a) visited me and experienced Chicago, b) have already graduated and have/don't exactly have full-time jobs, and c) are K8 McManus - I think I might rather do a year of service-type work. How did that work out for you?)
