[It's a nice, hot day. Stella has the window to her kitchen open as she works on something just for the sake of doing it. For you see, she's creating quite a delicious pie. A cherry pie, to be exact. She's worked hard on it, and the smell flows gently through the air as she sets it on the window sill for it to cool a little ( Read more... )

[Grune had been smelling something wonderful all day. The scent had wafted down to her room, where she had been happily drawing a picture of the spring lilacs. At last, as she finishes her picture and leaves it out to dry, she goes to investigate.

…Oddly enough, she can't seem to find anything that would be making such a delicious smell. Maybe it's in the cupboards...? She should take a look.]

[Siiiigh. And on top of everything, Stella found out that her pie got taken by a wolf! She's somewhat ashamed.

But she snaps out of it once she hears noises in the kitchen, and she looks up to find Grune looking through the cupboards. Huh... It's not the first time Grune has done something strange, but. Might as well ask.]

Are you looking for something, Grune?

[This gives her pause. She frowns a little, thinking, one of the cupboard doors still held open in her hand.] Hmm.... Am I looking for something?

[And then she registers the delicious smell all over again.] Oh, my, something smells very good.

[Stella was just about to shake her head and say that Grune probably wasn't looking for anything important until the next part is spoken. Aaaah, that. That must be what she was looking for. Stella sighs and leans forward to rest her chin on her hands, which lay on the table.]

That "something" is very far away right now. Someone took it.

[Grune blinks at that. She's sure no one would actually take anything from Stella on purpose. There must be a little misunderstanding.]

Are you sure? Maybe it was moved by mistake.

No, I'm sure it was stolen. [She holds out her hand, where the wolf fur and the crumbs still lie.] It was my fault for leaving it out like that... A wolf took it.

[And she is…not at all flapped by the idea of a wild animal taking baked goods from their house.] He must have been very hungry to take your food.

[As expected. Aah, Grune, Stella loves you for that airy attitude of yours.] I suppose... From what I've heard, this particular wolf is always hungry.

[And now she looks concerned.] Doesn't he get enough to eat?

Plenty. She just... enjoys eating. [...] That's what it sounded like, anyway...

I wonder if anyone has told her it's wrong to take things that belong to others. Maybe she doesn't know. [The same way Captain Jack Sparrow "didn't know," right?]

Mm... You may be right. Can wolves understand such things?

I'm sure they can if they try! [Provided they so much as listen.]

Well... If I ever find this one, I'll try speaking to it. [And she will. That wolf seems smarter than the others.]

I'll help! I'm sure with the two of us working together, she'll understand!

I'd appreciate it, Grune! [They're really going to go out and attempt to talk to a wolf, huh...

BUT FIRST. Stella stands, setting the crumbs and fur down on the table before putting her hands on her hips.] First, however, I'd like to bake another pie. To make up for the one I lost.
