[Once the class is assembled, Stella stands and makes her way to the front. There, she looks at all of the happy couples and their children, mentally counting in her head to see if everyone's keeping up with their eggs. I wouldn't say that... But there have been a couple of cases here where the parents weren't prepared in the slightest.

Happens all the time back home. But I thought there were only a couple kids here, so are you saying every parent here skipped the sex ed lessons?

Unfortunately, the fact of the matter is that there isn't enough protection here. [She'll take a seat nearby with a sigh.] The only thing we can count on are herbs mixed together in a drink. And then there are instances such as someone being kidnapped before they can take the medicine... Circumstances can happen, and we want to make sure that people are prepared for it.

...That's it? Seems kind of... really stupid to have people here with all this technology from other times and worlds and everything and a store that'll produce just about anything we want and we can't get something better than herbs. [Not that she'll have to worry about that probably... ever, since a baby probably wouldn't last through a morph.]

It does seem that way, but... it's the way it's been for some time. [And with a light blush of embarrassment:] And I doubt anyone wants to actually make anything like that.

Maybe not make it [she doesn't want to, either] but maybe beat the store into giving things like that up to us.
