[Stella's getting that feeling too, and it's a horrible, terrifying feeling. She had promised that she wouldn't put Senel through that again, and yet here she was, teriques battered and beaten. It wasn't like then, and maybe she'll make it, but...

With their joined hands, she tugs him closer until she can weave her free hand into his hair and pull him closer still for a kiss. It's not as deep as she would like for it to be, but she hopes it's just as loving.]
