Of those who are regularly misunderstood in common matters: one of two things is true - either there are some people such that the agreement of their actions and words, past and present, utterly and consistnatly belies their nature, or there is no such agreement. In any event, one in that position is mistaken if he once thinks continuing as he is is prudence, foolish for doing so twice, and deceptive beyond that. If he regularly frames his everyday actions with disclaimers warning he will be misunderstood, than he either cannot see, or is deliberately ignoring the reasonable thing to do. Any objection responding with an appeal to the idea that one lives his life for himself and not for the understanding of others is once again, either blind to or ignoring how his actions effect those around him - and need I not say any objection claiming one ought not care how others interpret his actions is to be monist; that is, unfit as a social being.
