Appearance: To most people, Xiao Meng does not hold the appearance of a man but rather of young beautiful woman. Perhaps it is because of his plump rosy cheeks and cherry-hued lips that give him such an appearance or perhaps it’s because of the long brown hair that flows past his shoulders. Whichever the case, Meng it’s an attractive young man who looks a few years shy of twenty. Normally donning the dull hues of less elaborate robes and armor, Xiao Meng’s pretty face and petite statue makes him seem as if he is merely a little girl playing dress up in her big brother’s clothing.
However, once Meng adopts his alias of “Diao Chan”, gone is his manly attire replaced with clothing seemingly for suitable for his feminine form. As Diao Chan, he comes off as a graceful and artistic performer with a dance so enchanting that makes those who know of his secret question if his claims to be a ‘man’ are true. His costume as Diao Chan is made with shimmering pink silks of various coral-like shades. Gold bracelets don his wrists and exquisite pearls hang around his neck.
Only when he is performing as her that Meng wears such a flashy wardrobe, while usually he just wears a pair of slacks with long tunic.
Personality: Loyal, Xiao Meng is fiercely loyal to both the Simas and towards those who he regards as friends. His blind loyalty is perhaps his best assets for he is willing to go beyond to make sure those he cares for are out of harms way. He tends to be the voice of reason among his clan of assassins and usually acts an authority figure when on a mission.
Meng is respectful towards men and women alike unless they end up teasing him about his appearance. Xiao Meng has no tolerance for any jokes said about his feminine looks for it’s an extremely sensitive topic for him and usually shies away from conversation about children and women because he is a eunuch. He sometimes becomes quite irrational when people tease him, almost wanting to fire an arrow or two at their rears to teach them a lesson. Although, Meng is usually very calm and patient around others, he has a knack with children and possesses a friendly enough personality to seem approachable towards youths younger than him.
Xiao Meng can be quite a nagger sometimes but he only does so because he is a worrier.
Abilities/Weapons: Assumedly trained by the Sima Clan, Xiao Meng is an expert at archery, able to pin point his targets from miles away. His weapon of choice is a set bow and arrows but he is not typically limited to just these weapons of alone. Meng also shows skills in using throwing knives or knives in general but his main ability lies within his skill with the bow.
Besides using weapons to help aid him in combat, Meng also fond of using disguises during his missions. One particular mission, the assassination of the tyrant Dong Zhuo, Meng disguised himself as the beautiful dancer “Diao Chan” to gain access into the dictator’s castle. Xiao Meng’s youthful and feminine appearance helps him greatly by making it seem as if he is just a beautiful common girl rather than one of the deadly Handicapped Assassins.
