Breakthrough
After weeks of leaving an idea simmering in some dark recess in my mind, I'm seeing results. There was an idea for the Nanowrimo; I had really wanted to keep it a new project, separate from the other kinds of work going on. But sadly, the main premise was nice, but there was no plot...no cast even.
The characters decided to debut today. They are very very rough, and there is still much development of all sorts to be done; however, I'm thrilled at the potential. It's certainly a new venture creatively for me. The ideas seem a bit more cynical and steeped in something real compared to many of my ideas for writing. I think the hard part will be balancing the mundane and particular to keep it realistic and believable...
I also need a setting, and much more established plot points, but at least it's a start. Plus, there's still a month or so to outline.
