I want Story of Seasons so much, I actually feel a little impatient. (I'm told that within the family, I'm weirdly willing to wait for stuff. Virgy says it's weird. Hmm?)
I really love Harvest Moon: A New Beginning. And I've gotten to look at some good details about the newest game (Story of Seasons) from Japanese/English players, and I can see that it is basically an upgraded ANB, with slightly spiffier graphics and even MORE custom options.
Squee? (I do really want it. Thank goodness it's coming out this month. Not til the verrrry last day, but still. I'll just keep playing ANB until then...HM games are so detailed that you can continue them for a VERY long time and still have new things to get done. I'm still trying to collect all the blueprints.)
Meanwhile, in ONLY SEMI GAME NEWS...the Wii is working out okay for me, atm. I can't bear using the bike indoors this late in the season, it feels like punishment. But the Wii Fit U can actually be quite hard if you try to get a top score or choose a longer activity...and both my spontaneous balance and my hand-eye (eye-hand, okay, okay) coordination are TERRIBLE, even within the family (and we're all pretty darned bad at it. My sisters are both the pits. I'm worse than the pits, hopefully due to the damage rather than to native complete inability. I'm not the pits, I'm the canyons.) so the balance exercises, while frustrating, would be helpful if I can actually get decent at any of them. And I'm no longer able to do sustained high-demand workouts (CRY!) so the lower but insistent level you're on while using the Wii is pretty appropriate for sad, clutzy, winter me.
I'm also revamping my diet (not a weight loss diet, I'm just using the word 'diet' at its basic meaning) yet again. Gotta go bare bones...just (most) fruits and veggies and whole grains...and meat is actually okay, too, as long as it's not in large quantities. It's good as a flavouring item. In broth and so on, for example. I'm still not sure about nuts and legumes, to be honest...they seem problematic.
I wish I could have the powers let me eat ANYTHING HEALTHY without repercussions. I'd accept being made a physical ruin by any other foods, but at least leave all the healthy stuff free and clear, damn it. Half of the existing food in the world, I can't eat. That really does NOT seem like an exaggeration. But oh well, gotta work with it. I think I'll make some barley today (love the stuff) and figure out a nice way to prepare bok choy. Also, I'm going to get a good salmon filet (fillet? Is it fillet in this case?) recipe. I have some nice fillets so I should use 'em since I already know my weird body really loves salmon. (The pills don't seem to have the same great effect. Too bad.)
