excuse my silence

i haven't written in here for quite some time. i'm pretty sure my computer came down with a bit of a virus so currently firefox cannot open, and safari crashes whenever i try to access facebook or livejournal. i bought a 120 GB iPod off of Lauren and i can't even get all my music on there because iTunes crashes whenever faced with such a mundane task. still rocking the 30 Gb :-/

been to a few concerts. in december i saw um..... Fugue, Crime in Stereo, Hostage Calm and.....? lauren help me out on that one. hostage calm rocked, everything else was all right.

last week i saw Of Montreal with James Hubbard at the Paradise. James seemed to be only incidentally playing a set. like he happened to be standing on a stage so he thought he would play some songs. he really gave nothing to the audience until of montreal came on to act as his band and liven up the stage. boring. rodney and i quickly got smashed and chatted through his set.

Of Montreal was fucking awesome. so much energy! i also love it when bands bring along crews to liven up their act. two guys in black leotards and one guy in a white tux with a tiger mask pumping up the crowd, and running around with handheld strobe lights and other colored lights. using green lights to give the greenscreen effect on their bodies for the video being projected behind them. killer acid show. they didn't use any loops for this show, but his voice is pristine, so it still rocked. closer before the encore of She's a Rejector busting out the bondage cross. lead singer straps himself in and is whipped until he collapses into the tigers arms and is carried off stage. fucking awesome.

hey! i'm back on WECB and WERS. both on thursdays! 12-2pm i'll be on WERS 88.9, http://wers.org, and from 2-4 i'll be on WECB, http://wecb.emerson.edu

i start WERS next week, but WECB is on TODAY. IM me while i'm in there @ liveonWECB. it's the Cover Remake Remix show! interested in A Perfect Circle covering Black Flag? Andrew Jackson Jihad covering David Bowie? Or how about The Ergs! covering Gin Blossoms? some remakes and parodies from Richard Cheese & Lounge Against the Machine and "Weird Al" Yankovic, and some killer remixes of bands like Project Pitchfork, Yelle, Björk, and Imperative Reaction. This is a worthwhile couple of hours to get in on.
