Where has the time gone?!? I can't believe it's been a week and a half since I've updated this thing. . .Never planned for it to be that long. . .I promise I didn't.
Since my last update FaceBook has come into my life. . .I'm addicted to FaceBook, just like about half of Montevallo. It's such a great site. I've been able to find a friend from Memphis, a couple of people I went to church with in Montgomery, a couple of people I worked on the Hoover High newspaper with, and of course plenty of Montevallo people. Right now I have 44 friends. . .Not too shabby considering I graduated a year and a half ago and when I was at Montevallo I was an independent. I wish you didn't have to have a school email account to join. . .That's going to keep a lot of my friends being able to join since most of them graduated before we had UMail. . .OH WELL, I'll continue to add the people I know.
Anywho, I spent the past 2 Wednesday nights with Melanie. The first Wednesday we went to Subway for dinner and then to Bruster's for ice cream. . .Let me just say their Fudge Brownie ice cream is amazing. Then last week we went to Cracker Barrel with some of her friends from Tut. After dinner we headed over to Wal-Mart. . .Good way to wrap up the end of the semester before she moved home for the summer.
Last weekend I had to work, so I spent the weekend in Montevallo. To give me something to do I rented 3 movies. . .Meet the Fockers, Wicker Park, and Man on Fire. Meet the Fockers was good, but not as good as Meet the Parents. Wicker Park was interesting. . .It was kinda hard to keep up with at first, but once I figured out what was going on I enjoyed the movie. Out of the 3 movies Man of Fire was the best. . .It was a good movie with a bitter sweet ending.
Thursday night was pretty wild at the apartment. . .Everyone was celebrating the end of the semester. Let me just say they were insanely loud all night. Then when I left to go to work Friday morning there were beer cans and bottles and cups with mixed drinks all over the front patio and yard. I understand they want to celebrate the end of the semester, but they need to realize some people have to get up early to go to work. Hopefully I'll be able to get another place sometime soon. . .There are going to be 3 new people moving in to my building, so it will be interesting to see what it will be like. I'm hoping a little quieter, but I'm not holding my breath.
I went to graduation yesterday. It was nice to be able to walk over to Flower Hill and not have to worry about parking and fighting traffic. Anywho, it was a good ceremony, but it's getting to where I know less and less people graduating. I tried to look for people I knew after graduation, but didn't have much luck. I saw Erin, Vickie, Bethany Davis, Kara, and Gabie. . .Guess that's more than I thought, but there were still more that I wanted to see.
After graduation I headed home for the rest of the weekend. . .My brother came over yesterday afternoon, so we celebrated Mother's Day last night. We watched National Treasure last night after dinner. . .It was a pretty good movie.
Then this afternoon my parents and I went to visit my grandmother. . .It was good to see her, but still kinda sad. I still don't think she should be in a nursing home. It just doesn't feel right to visit her in a nursing home. . .We should've been going to her house. But I guess it's just part of life.
Anywho, I'm still at home. . .Got a dentist appointment tomorrow morning, but I need to do a load of laundry, so I'm heading out. . .
