Christmas is so much work...damn commercialization of major holidays!
The Gods of Christmas have it in for me, I swear. Naturally, I have to wait until the week of Christmas to take care of the majority of my shopping, and naturally I only got shopping done for one person (Sherman, who is very easy to shop for). So the plan was to shop to my heart's content today. Which would have worked, had it not been raining and had my windshield wipers not busted on the highway. One flew off the side of the car (but was still attatched) and one got knocked off course by the other and twisted itself upside down. So I had to turn back. But as God is my witness, I will go shopping tomorrow.
The VERY GOOD NEWS..... I made a B in Arts in Contemporary Societies, which is actually more of a shock than a thrill. I was sure I'd fail. Or make a C at best. I mean, there were two whole weeks when I didn't even go to that class. So the GPA remained the exact same, and I'm still academically elligible to play Adelaide. Whew!
I finally got my hands on the Golden Globe nominees, and I think it's hilarious that King Kong was left out of all the major competitive awards except Best Director. And I can't wait to hear Reese Witherspoon and Joaqin Phoenix's acceptance speeches. If they don't win it'll be a crime.
