Hello again, I made a picspam for
picspammy ,
CHALLENGE 20 TROPES
Awesome moments of crowning ,
So I just discovered the trope site, it's amazing thought I've had a hard time understanding how this site worked, so I choose this 'theme',
Awesome moments of crowning because it covered some of my fandoms, even some fandoms I didn't expect to find there.
Lord of the Ring, the return of the king
Aragorn's coronation
"My friends, you bow to no one!"
Aragorn is crowned king of kings, king of Gondor, he is reunited with his friends but most importantly with his dear Arwen, which was a sweet moment, but the greatest moment of his coronation, was his "tribute" to his hobbits friends, and bows before them, followed by all the people. the costumes are magnificient, and there is so much people present to acclaim their new king. It's a happy ending, and a new beginng for them.
why did I choose this scene? I found it worth for this marvellous scene to be in this picspam, the colours, happinness, cheering and love make this scene a wonderful crowning scene.
Narnia, the lion the witch and the wardrobe
Kings Peter, Edmund,Queens Susan and Lucy's coronation
"Queen Lucy the Valiant, King Edmund the Just, Queen Susan the Gentle, King Peter the magnificent"
The Pevensie children's coronation by Aslan was an happy ending to the first episode of the Narnia movies, they are each crowned Queen and King, after they have defeated the Withe Witch and her army, after their coronation, Aslan is leaving Narnia, but promise to come back. At the end the children are adults, still kings and queens, they re find the wardrobe and are back in their own world as the children they were when they left"
why did I choose this scene? The costumes, colours, music were awesome, I really loved the crowns, it was really a strong moment, very beautiful and happy, I had to put this classical coronation scene in this picspam.
Battlestar Galactica, the mini-serie and season 3 episode 5
Laura Roslin becomes president of the twelve colonies
Kobol"
"I, Laura Roslin, do now avow and affirm, that I accept the office of the President of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol
and that I will protect and defend the sovereignty of the Colonies, with every fibre of my being"
I was really surprised to find this scene in the list, I didn't expect to find one of my fav tv show and one of my fav character on the show,
So Laura Roslin wasn't crowned queen, but she was made president of the twelves colonies of Kobol after the death of all the politics, ministers above her in the list. She was not ready to be president, she didn't want to be president, on the same day she was found a breast cancer in terminal phase. I in the beginning she was shy, reluctant, observing but in the end she was The President. After the elections and New Caprica and Baltar's screwed mandate, she was asked by the vice-president, Tom Zarek to come back as president, but this time she was not as reluctant as the first time, she took it as her duty to save her people and to lead her people to Earth. Even if she was not crowned queen, but president, some people called her a tyrant, and her and the admiral Adam's were like the queen and king of the crew.
why did I choose this scene? First I was so surprised to find one of my fandoms there, I had to add it here, I'm very happy this scene was in the list.
The Lion King,
Simba remembers and
takes his place in the circle of life
"Roar"
One of my favorite scene on the lion king, very moving, Simba "remembers" who he is, and becomes the king of the pride land after the battle against Scar, this scene has a long of meanings for Simba, he becomes the one he had to be, the one his pride wanted him to be, and the one his father wanted him to be, he fulfilles his destiny. It's also an happy ending.
why did I choose this scene? Because the colours are awesome, there is so much emotion, and it's one of my fav movie/Disney movie ever.
Historical movies/Tv shows, real coronations
The Tudors, season 2, episode 3
Anne Boleyn's coronation as Henry VIII's queen.
"To the Boleyn"
This moment was very strong, after all her efforts, all this hard work to become queen of England, Katherine of Aragon, Henry VIII's first wife and rival said once something like: "This one does not want my husband, but my crown". Anne was very ambitious, and after 1 season seeing her trying with all her strenght to become queen, finally, her destiny is fulfilled. It's a powerful moments , for her and her family.
Henry crowns himself his new queen, showing he's taking his role of head of the church very seriously.
why did I choose this scene? Well, I choose this picspam while trying tot find something related to the Tudors and I found this one interesting. I thought it was an important moment, in the show, but also in history, with this coronation, the world changed.
Elizabeth (1998)
Queen Elizabeth I' s coronation
"This is the lord's doing/ Elizabeth, Queen of England, Ireland and France"
This must be one of the most important coronation in England's history ever.
After her brother Edward VI and her sister Mary I' s reign, during this period she had a hard time, since she was a protestant and her sister Mary was catholic, but after all these ordeals, finally she access to the throne of England and became one of the most famous and beloved queen of England.
why did I choose this scene? This is the continuation of Anne's coronation, since she was Anne's daughter, this scene was amazing, strong, and how great is it to see Queen Elizabeth's coronation in a movie, just great.
The young Victoria,
Queen Victoria's coronation
"God save the Queen"
Again, an important moment for England,
Victoria was a young girl when she became queen, people around her didn't trust her and tried to manipulate her, but the day she learned she was queen, her life changed, she wasn't persecuted by her mother's adviser, Sir John Conroy, she found love with Prince Albert, and became one of the most important queen of England.
why did I choose this scene? First, I adore Emily Blunt, she's one of my favourite actress, second, I thought the coronation scene was one of the strongest and best moments in the movie, it was magnificent!
Hope you liked ;)
