I took over as snacks coordinator for my choir this year, and as such, duty for the first rehearsal falls on me. I guess technically I could get someone to help? But that literally didn't occur to me until this afternoon, even though snack duty is usually split between two people. Oh well. As of now, the menu is:
- baklava
- brownies (homemade)
- chocolate-chip banana bread (homemade)
- blueberry mini-muffins (homemade)
- tortilla chips
- pretzels
- pita chips
- crackers
- baby carrots
- hummus
- guacamole
- DiBruno Brothers' cheese spreads
That should be enough for 60-70 people...right? Fingers crossed! (I could probably add some salsa to go on there with the chips and guac, but I freaking hate salsa, so. Not happening.)
I hope/expect I'll be taking at least some of it home (not the mini-muffins - those always go fast, and there's only two dozen of them; probably not the brownies; possibly some baklava; probably some banana bread, that always goes over less well than I expect, though I'm not making it same-day this time, so it'll probably be better; maybe some chips and pretzels but not the pita chips, those bags are so damn small; possibly hummus but not guacamole; almost definitely the cheeses which is A-OK with me). This post may or may not be completely a reminder on what to buy.
