Emily update

Via Rebekah, a note from Emily's sister:

a note from emily's sister

"emily is still stable. her heart is doing really well.

the big question now is the nuerological function. the nuerologist is saying that she can acheive a state of "wakefulness" however she has not yet really woken up. he also would like to see some movement of her limbs. she is opening her eyes however is not focusing etc. yet.

they were going to redo the brain scans this morning but couldn't because of back ground noise in the room where she is right now so they are hoping to do it either this afternoon or tomorrow morning after possiblly moving her to a place where it would be quieter.

we are really really really praying that these tests would show improvement. the doctor said she APPEARED more awake to him on saturday evening when she began to exhibit some signs of anxiety but we can't know this for sure until we see the scans.

please just ask everyone to continue to pray that God would touch her body and her mind and allow her to regain consciousness or to make some progress/show improvement in the next few days.

they are still just telling us to wait....this can take time and in someone her age two weeks or more is not uncommon before regaining consciousness but obviously we would like to see it happen today.

that's it update wise. thanks so much for keeping this up.

Rebekah adds:

Keep praying that as the doctors do test that she shows improvement and that she can mover her hands and feet. She will wake up, I know she will...just keep praying that its our same Emily when she does
