Kirisho throat problems

Nov 22, 2012 00:04

as you may know, HitoriYogari 3 solo lives have been postponed for undefined period of time due to Kirisho throat problems.
full translation is posted here

in his latest post he explains the situatin as follows (it's too long to properly translate everything, so just a summary):

Kirisho had been feeling discomfort with his throat and singing voice from a long time ago, he has visited doctor and undergone some treatment, and it seemed to be cured, but in reality it wasn't. his vocal cords were okay, doctor has told. but Kirisho realised, that his singing voice sounded strange and it was different from his own voice recorded 2 years ago. he became unable to sing high tones and his singing wasn't very skillful. Kirisho didn't realise the real seriousness of situation until now, so he had been singing while his throat was hurting for about 4 months (from August).

at the same time, dissatisfaction with his vocal performance, fear of losing the voice, nervousness and tiredness have piled up, and so the situtaion became really serious. Kirisho understood himself, that if he continues a little more, he may lose his voice forever. so he had talked with doctors, vocals teacher, other vocalists and decided to postpone Hitori Yogari lives so that he can undergo medical treatment.

why Hitori Yogari - obviously because he has to sing for 2 hours straight, and sing ballads, and it would be a great strain for his voice (and psychological condition). a thought about lipsynch on band lives occured to Kirisho, but he rejected it, because firstly, he thinks songs are the most important in lives, and if they were lipsynched, it won't reach peoples hearts, and secondly because he wouldn't keep it a secret anyway.

in the end he apologizes to everyone that he allowed the situation to proceed this far, regrets it greatly and promises to get well. he's also thankful to his fans and everyone around for supporting him. he says he feels greatly relieved now that he can have a proper treatment and that he made such a decision.

//I really thought Kirisho's voice is strange from long ago. he worked too much. and except Hitori Yogari, there's still much work on TV and event lives. I hope Kirisho gets proper treatment, gets well soon and will have some rest, because the schedule lately was too harsh and hectic.

on the other note, it's 22/11 today, which means it's GB anniversary, as Kirisho said in his book, "there's no decided date of Golden Bomber formation, but when I think about when our start was, it probably was 2006/11/22 event in Meguro Rock-May-Kan, where we met Vagu*Project-san. I guess Kyan-san wouldn't object it. If we maybe did Golden Bomber anniversary event some time, I want it surely to be 22/11"  (but the band was formed in 2004, so I don't know how to count years properly lol)
