Road to Ruin gigging at The Rook!

Bill helped Hayley and Dale clean up the place before it opened. The floors were swept, the carpets vacuumed and the counters and wiped off. They made sure the taps were full and kegs cold. Bill made a trip to get some more ice because they were expecting a big crowd. Meanwhile, Road to Ruin's demo was playing in the background on the stereo system

She caught the can and opened it swiftly; "I'm always excited in your presence," she winked, tossing him a look that was nothing short of sultry. She'd been excited ever since she'd heard the demo CD - this band was good on disc, and if they were better live then this was going to be absolutely amazing. "Everything's done, right?" she asked, her eyes scanning the bar.

ooc- no worries. I knew we'd get around to it eventually.

He grinned, she was so silly and sexy and he loved her. He looked around the place and nodded. "Yeah, I think so. I swept over there where the band will be," He nodded. "Oh and I can do door for a while tonight if need be."

"That would be great, thanks baby," she kissed him softly and nuzzled him. "It should be a good night tonight. Should be a big crowd." She hoped so, it would be good for the bar as well as the band and maybe if it went down well it could be a regular thing. Or so she hoped.

He grinned and put his arms around her. "Anytime, gorgeous." He nodded, it would be a big crowd. He knew that the band would atrract more than just their regular neighoborhood kind of people. "Should get some non regulars!"

She wrapped her arms about him in return, resting her forehead against his chest, happy there in his arms as she always was. She loved it there, she felt safe - something she hadn't had in a very very long time. She made a happy sigh and then nodded; "I hope so, if the band have a following, and even if they don't, music usually attracts the crowds looking to do more than clubbing."

He kissed the top of her head. Though in this pose especially he seemed to be "the protecter" she was as just saving his heart as he was hers. Holding her like that made him feel strong and worthy. Such a beautiful girl loving him and he caring for her was like nothing he could describe. "Plus, where better to hang out than The Rook. You guys pour drinks in town!"

She made a content sigh, closing her eyes and just letting herself relax in his arms. "Of course, we are ace!" she murmured against his shirt, her breath making the fabric warm. "You even get free drinks all night for fucking the boss," she winked up at him, teasing.

He nuzzled her close. He'd be content just holding her forever. "We are!" He grinned kissed her deeply. "Go me. Can we fuck on the bar after close?" He glanced at the door. "They ought to be here soon, right?"

She laughed and nodded; "Mm, of course, after Dale goes home. I don't think he really appreciated last time." She looked at her watch and nodded; "Yep, five minutes," then, if on cue the band came through the door and she grinned; "Ooh, good timing, guys, we were just talking about you."

Casper laughed; "Good things, I hope."

"Of course!"

"Good! Now where do you want this shit?"

"That was beyond awkward. Still it was worth it because it was damn hot." He chuckled and kissed her pulling back when the band arrived.

He helped Caz move the amps and drum kit to the corner of the bar designated for them to play. "We're so excited you guys are here!"

She laughed and nodded; "It was indeed. He still won't let it drop you know," she winked at him.

"We're excited to be here," Caz grinned back at him, picking up his guitar, finding a place to sit down before starting to tune it up, Sweep wandering over to his drum kit and playing a few riffs.

He chuckled, "I think he was just jealous."

Bill watched and bobbed his head along. Watching a band get ready was so awesome to him, it was like watching famous people sort of. A red head with a smoke dangling from his lips joined the band minutes later, tuning up his own guitar.

She laughed loudly; "Perhaps, though probably more of me, than you," she winked, teasing him.

A tall, blonde man followed soon after, wandering over to the drum kit, and he started to tune up, the rest of the band entering then and going to their respective instruments. "Right guys!" Caz's voice called.

"I don't know about that," He laughed. His hand found hers, his finger tips touching hers.

Bill greeted each band member as they set up, feeling really proud of his girl for having such a great establishment that would attract such an act.

"I'd be jealous of me too, if I wasn't me of course. I'm lucky." She grinned.

Before long the band had finished setting up and was busy doing a sound check, Caz's voice ringing out throughout the club.

"Have I told you how much I love you lately?" Bill chuckled.

Bill's fingers reached for Hayley's as he watched the band practice. "They rock. So much!"
