First visitor on the island [locked to just_makeamove]

It was a sunny Saturday morning on Justice's island near the tropic of cancer. Lady Justice was in her garden, kids were playing around her. Bill was laying on the sand letting the sun hit his body. It felt good and warm and momentarily he was content. Alexis would come visit soon and today Ford was coming visit. Ford seemed liked a really cool guy ( Read more... )

Ford figured since Dionysus was doing his own thing that he himself could go on vacation whenever he damn well pleased. Never mind the fact that he was meeting a guy he was most likely interested in. Or the fact that said guy was ninety-percent not into what he had to offer. But, it surprised him. He was actually looking forward to today, even if he didn't get any action. He needed this fun in the sun in his mind ( ... )

What Ford had to offer was not at all on Billy's mind. It wasn't even really apparent to him. Funny thing was, Ford wasn't being too subtle, Bill was just rather happy for any positive attention, even if it was a gay guy hitting on him. Plus, he truthfully liked Ford and he LOVED surfing so the combination made him happy.

The look on Ford's face was almost feral- Bill had to laugh, what was that about? Plus, he had messed up hair that reminded Bill of only one thing, but it was also windy today, he shook his head to get it out of the gutter.

He turned on his side to face to Ford. "I don't know either for sure, actually. Somewhere peaceful." He pushed his sunglasses over his ears and grinned. "Grab a board, I'll race you to the water!"

Ford got lost in Bill's eyes if only for a second. After realizing he had been staring he knew he had to salvage the moment so he ruffled Bill's hair. "I saw you looking at mine - so I thought we should match." He got himself to his feet and took another look out to the ocean, watching the waves rise and crash. Yeah, he really needed him -- this. He really needed this.

Walking over to one of two surf boards, he grabbed a blue one with some kind of fin before sticking it in the sand in front of him. Scratching his head sheepishly he looked down at Bill.

"I'd race you to the water but I haven't a clue in how to hold this thing - which way - or which side does ... what." He stopped, holding his hand in front of him, blocking out the sun. "You can run though, I'll just watch you - you know, run."

For Ford it was only slightly flirtatious. But he'd accept help in surfing. Hell, he'd accept lessons from an emotionally confused guy on a beautiful island of...justice.

Bill raised an eyebrow and laughed amusedly. Sure this wasn't exactly like hanging out with Damien but it was fun anyway. "It's just gonna get wet anyway."

He ran towards the water, kicking sand up in his wake. He laughed when Ford stopped. "Just stick it under your arm. Seriously man."

He splashed into the water, laying flat on his board and rowing towards a wave. He looked over his shoulder at Ford looking confused. Was he flirting? Good thing Justice Lady was nearby.

Ford, with a frustrated smile on, stuck the board under his arm and did his best to imitate every California surfing movie he had ever seen. He crashed into the waves, swimming like he thought a surfer would swim, the board under him but he must have looked thoroughly puzzled. Because he had no idea how this looked. He figured it looked a lot like a bad imitation of a surfer.

Ford made sure to follow behind Bill until they were pretty far out, Bill turning his surf board. Ford did the same, as they both mounted them, Bill crouched. Looking behind him his eyes went wide, their first wave approaching.

"Dude, you sure?"

Ford asked, before the wave crashed into to them. At once Bill was up on his surf board riding the wave. Ford was tossed off of it into the water nearby. Surfacing, Ford spit out some salt water as Bill was swimming back towards him.

"Well, surfing's fun," he said, bobbing up and down in the ocean. Something about Bill now being wet and glistening made it better.

"Owwww!!" Bill called out riding the wave in all the way. He laughed hard, Ford cleary had not been in the water in the long time. He swam toward Ford, still laughing.

"These are real waves, Ford, this isn't Bay Watch! You have to catch it and balance, and ride it in." Bill ditched his board and held on to Ford's, nodding towards a wave. "Wanna give it another go? I'll steady the board for you this time."

Ford knew he was all for Bill steadying his board for him. Wordlessly, he indicated he wanted to try again. He climbed on, crouching like Bill had before, never taking his eyes off the younger boy.

Feeling the wave behind him he found it a lot easier to balance on the thing, standing straight up riding the wave back down like Bill had before. He crouched down again and straddled the board, swimming back to Bill who now had his.

"Wow, you're right - that...that felt great." He shook water out of his hair and sat, floating, before Bill. "After you," he said, grinning. As Bill turned around he made sure to spend a few seconds checking out his ass before following.

Bill watched his student master the task at hand and clapped as we rode the wave in.

"Alright! Way to go!" He held up his hand for a high five. "Isn't it the best? You're doing so well!"

"Uh, thanks," He said to Ford's suggestion that he go first. He walked up the beach and tossed Ford a towel before grabbing his own. He checked his watch. "Tide's gonna come in soon. We can probably only catch a few more waves before but we can swim after. Sound good?"

Ford stuck his surfboard in the sand again and shook out his hair - feeling the cool breeze on his wet skin. He caught the towel Bill had thrown to him and began to dry himself off.

"That was pretty cool," he said, drying off his neck. "Hey, you got another soda?" Ford noticed Bill checking his watch and yawned, looking back out to the ocean. "I don't know, I don't know if I feel like surfing anymore. I'd be up for a swim though." He smiled, waiting for a soda to come his way.

If he were lucky Bill would have to bend now to get it and sure enough -- full view. Unfortunately, he hadn't caught himself staring like a hungry wolf.

"...I'm really thirsy," he covered.

Bill finished drying himself off and tossed the towel on table with Ford's. "Sure. Hey, we could eat some snacks here or whatever and by the time we're done it will be dark. I love nightswimming here!"

He bent down and grabbed a coke for Ford and raised his brow again. Was he drooling? He was really trying hard to ignore these looks but... "Dude are you staring at my ass?"

Ford immediately looked up, his first excuse obviously not holding up. Cursing himself for getting carried away he decided to play it off. "Yeah, I was staring at your ass." After all, it was a truth and he got a soda for it. Well, he didn't get a soda because of honesty - but it helped to think honesty played a part ( ... )
