Bridal Shower
So I had my bridal shower this past saturday, Cinco de Mayo. It was a great time. We had it at Andiamo's on Telegraph. I think that's bloomfield hills but I'm not positive. The food was great, the service was great and itw as a lot of fun seeing everyone.
There were a lot of people, around 40 or so, a lot of them from Pete's side. So it let me meet a few people that I hadn't met yet before the wedding. It gives me a chance to learn a few more faces before I'm overwhelmed at the wedding really.
Pete came also and helped open gifts. It worked out perfect because then I wasn't nervous. I get really nervous when everyone is looking at me and such, so since there were two of us, then I didn't feel like I was the center of attention.
We received a ton of wonderful gifts. I'm really excited to move into our apartment in a month and get the place set up with all of our brand new stuff. One of my favorite gifts was the DDR - Dance Dance Revolution- game and dance mat that Lisa got us. It's nice to get a fun gift in the middle of all of the practical ones. After all, I need them both!
Now it's just time to start writing all of the thank you's to send out. I bought stamps today so we should be alright and be able to get them out soon. I'm also going to send out the invites sometime this week. That's really exciting because then I'll start getting RSVPs in the mail along with presents! Weddings are great ;) After all, I love getting mail.
Anyway, it was great to have my friends at the shower and let people meet each other. I wish there was more time to spend talking to everyone but it's ok, I'll see them all again at the wedding.
