A life update

I figured it's about time for me to update the world on my life. Ok, well maybe not the world, but at least that portion of the world that actually reads this. And I think by that I mean mary... hmm, well, Here ya go Mary!

Lately my life has consisted of watching the Tigers and going to MSU football games. I hate to admit it, but I'm getting discouraged by watching my spartans. They just are having a horrible year. I would never root against them, but it's hard to shell out a lot of money for tickets also when they just get their butt kicked. Ohio State is next and they are ..1 in the country. I put my tickets up on ebay, partly because I"m poor and partly because then I can go with my brother to the Tigers game that night without being worn out from a football game. I can still watch them on TV and that will be good I think. I'll still be rooting for them. I just can't make the trip. Now what if they do great, what if they turn everything around and beat the ..1 team in the nation? And what if I missed that game? Oh trust me, I would never forgive myself. But it's a risk I'm going to take after choosing UofM vs MSU this past weekend instead of watching the Tigers win the ALDS. I am still upset about that decision.

The tigers are just great. I'm so proud of them. It's the same way we all felt with the Pistons finally starting doing well. No one thought we could beat the Lakers, but we did, and the same thing happened with the Yankees. It's nice to beat Goliath. But then, after so many wins, don't we just become Goliath?

I'm getting a new car in a few days. I've started to become sentimental about my jeep just this week. I've always like my jeep and all, but it just eats so much darn gas that I couldn't wait for my lease to be up. Plus I was way over on miles(about 3,000 at 20 cents per mile) and the more I drove it, the more it cost me. That's never a good feeling. Luckily Pete has been driving a lot more lately =)
But back to the new car. After a lot of researching and driving around to dealerships and test driving various cars I decided. First I thought I wanted the Ford Fusion, the price was right, it was a really sharp looking car and so why not!? But then I drove the Saturn Aura. This car is great.

Hopefully that image shows up. if not then uh oh... oh well, just google saturn aura and it will come up. It's so awesome. It's a 4 door sedan, midnight blue with a tan interior. I wanted the grey interior, but with the options that I wanted I had to settle for tan.
I pick it up on Friday. Hopefully I'll test drive it on thursday though. The dealership had it driven in from Dayton, Ohio so I want to go drive it and make sure that I really do love it before I sign the lease. The cost is a little more than my jeep was, which is a bummer, but I do love the car. It's only a 27mo lease also, rather than the 36 mo one that I have now. Maybe I'll end up buying it at the end, I'm not sure. I would buy it right now if I had enough money to put down on it and could afford the monthly payments. However I'm broke as a joke right now. Yeah, I just said that.

Let's see, anything else of interest? Pete and I are doing great. This years UofM vs MSU football game went by without much of a bad taste. I didn't have much hope, and the team gave me no hope out of the gates, so I was never really let down. I can deal with that. No big deal. I wish they could have won, but such is life. We spent a lot of the game listening to the Tigers game on his AM radio that we bought at CVS that morning. Throughout the game we got updated on the big screen with how they were doing and what big hits were taking place. It was really a great time even though i wasn't at the game.

The schedule is out for next semester so I have to sit down and figure out what classes I still need to take and how I am going to schedule everything. Then I can figure out how much time I can give to Softball and to working to earn some money. I'll figure something out.

I think that's about it. That's my update on my life for now. Basically it's work, school and sports. That's my life.
