Adjustments

Took the entire downstairs office and flipped it 180 degrees (plus about three feet of sliding it in one direction). Feels good to have hit a year at home without major incident and decided that changing things up would be good for me. I like the change. A little unsure on how a third rotation would work, but I got a few weeks to work that out.

Work has mentioned that I might have a chance to go to Makati this year and visit our offices there. That would be a first for me - I haven't been to a country not connected to the US before (I know, I know) and it would be an experience that would not come up that often. Would require some mental hurdles to clear, but it could be in the cards if I agree to throw my name in the hat.

Speaking of work, I just passed 10 years with my company last Sunday. It is supremely weird to have worked for over a quarter of my life in one spot, but I guess the move out to Tigard/Portland always made it feel 'new' and not really ten years end-to-end. I still like the people that I work with, but do miss the socialization that the office setting provided.

Starting to get back into a regular running schedule. Had a spectacular run down at the waterfront two weeks ago on a day that had roughly half of Portland out and about and soaking up sunshine. I will be making a trip to Foot Traffic next week to check out a replacement running hat (RIP 2008-2012) and see if the shoes I am presently running with have upgraded models that are not an arm and a leg.

Life continues.
