Ankle fun

The day after my tempo run last week, I got up from my desk and rotated my legs and ankles around to loosen them up. Right one kind of half-popped, but not fully. Sort of like half-cracking a knuckle. Within an hour, I found that my ankle felt 'thick'. It didn't really hurt at all, but definitely didn't feel 'right'.

So I held off on running until the long run on Sunday and then made sure I had my ankle sleeve in place. Zero pain, zero problems. Had an EZ run of three miles yesterday and it kind of twinged for the first half mile and then was fine. Not really sure what's up short of some irritated tendons or something. Definitely keeping an eye on it, but not terribly worried. Bowling starts up tonight and, lucky for me, my plant foot is not the one with the iffy ankle. Shouldn't be a problem.

The weather is making morning runs a need, but work is making morning runs impossible. Kind of sucks to train in 85-90 degree heat when the actual race should be nowhere near that warm. Anyway, tempo run tomorrow (five total - impersonate The Flash in the middle three), 3 EZ miles on Friday, then 7 and change on Sunday. And so we go.
