I nearly joined Miss Granger's silent reading club, but upon reflection I now realise that it was probably a good idea I stayed away. Nothing against certain portraits, mind.
I have, additionally, decided to stop bothering with my hair. It molds itself most alarmingly every morning, but I can't be bothered to make attempts to tame it anymore.

I think it looks nice. Messy can be a good thing.

Anyway, you always look nice.

A third year informed me this morning that I look something like an overgrown dandelion.

An overgrown dandelion? I wouldn't go that far. I think it's quite fetching, actually. I don't think I ever would have expected to see you with such rebellious hair but I quite like it. It seems fluffy. I'd ask to touch it but it seems rather forward of me.

As if you're a shining example of well-groomed hair!

I don't know. I might ask around and see if anybody wants it. Do you think the squid might eat it?

Oh Anthony, you should have come! We got a great deal done after Sir Cadogan had been expelled. I think we're going to meet same place and same time next week, so you should come then!

Perhaps I will, actually. I could use a little quiet time to brush up on my Italian.

You seem mostly competent. But it never hurts to become moreso.

I would like to be proficient, rather than competent. Anything worth doing is worth doing to the extreme, don't you agree?

Just use charms to style your hair! I could even show them to you if you want?

...Do they involve sparkles of some kind?

Dear god, of course not! What kind of straightening charm would have sparkles?

You never can tell.

I think I'll pass, but thank you all the same.
