I never told you, but when I was a kid, when the part of the movie where the GREAT AND POWERFUL OZ is shouting at Dorothy and company with his scary bald, green head and jets of FLAME!!!1 (just before the Lion high-tails it out of there and jumps through the window), I'd be so scared I had to leave the room.

I haven't the benefit of any firsthand memories of that particular part of the story, but Regina can tell you - I spent a lot of time frowning at the screen during that portion of the movie.

Yes. I know it's in the books, but Glinda actually met the Wizard in later books and I remember thinking well of him. It's just an odd juxtaposition.

It sounds a little like how... and I hate to use this example ... but how Dumbledore used Harry in the Harry Potter books. Am I making sense?

Oh, yes. Glinda had a 'Book of Records' that kept track of the goings-on in Oz.

Uh. I haven't actually read any of the Harry Potter books. What did Dumbledore do?
