Well, everything about my day was going smoothly until I got back from my afternoon classes. I came home to find water dripping from the ceiling into my room. The floor was saturated with water. The gas stove had water enough to submerge two of the gas burners. Almost everything on the floor got a good soaking, including several of my storage ( Read more... )

OMG I would raise hell with the person with the overflowing toilet! Either that or make the University pay for some of the damage if not all of it. Good God I hope things get better for you! Good luck on the chorus tryouts too!

Fortunately, not much was damaged, that I can tell. Well, I shouldn't say that because I haven't re-tested my computer yet, or my scanner, or my printer. I know that my graphing calculator doesn't turn on anymore, which is not good since I need it for classes. Maybe I'll pick up a pack of batteries and see if that's the problem...

I've heard that Campus Housing is where I should go for reimbursement. I'll probably do that tomorrow, or maybe track down someone who is an RA tonight and see what they advise. I hate doing this sort of thing, but I can't very well be expect to pay for it myself I suppose... I hate sticking up for myself. I'm such a pansie. :(
