So I'm fairly certain that several people on my flist have seen this, but I don't know if ALL of you have, and it's something that 100% deserves to be seen, so!
Halfamoon Unpopular Women Love Meme, full of threads for loving on female characters who are unloved in canon or get bashed in fandom. There are threads for Gwen (<333), Katara, River Song, half the female cast of SPN, a bunch of the Hetalia ladies, Rinoa, Aeris and Tifa and many more. Go look, that female character you love probably has a thread, and if she doesn't, start one!
On that note, also reccing halfamoon in general, a two-week love and rec fest centering on female characters in any fandom. ♥

ETA: okay, not gonna lie, I'm a little sad to see that it looks like a lot of the SPN character threads are less "pure character love" and more derailing into "SPN hates its women and sucks". Guys, can't we ever appreciate our canon ladies without getting absorbed into bashing canon which did after all create these women and make them awesome.
