IT'S HOT. IT'S ALARMINGLY HOT. Older, worn and grizzled Dean, run down by war and being alone, seething with bitterness and still completely loving his brother underneath, even after he's worked so hard to bury that part of himself, a fresh-faced younger Sam who is prickly and unwilling to be clutched but full of affection for his brother, one who hasn't (yet) suffered what Dean's own Sam had endured, or made the same choices, but who is ultimately savvy and too knowing, still Sam. Dean burned up by conflicting urges to push away and to clutch at, to retreat from and protect, to love with every sinew, to claim, to warn or change, even to hurt. Struggling with his desires, pawing and licking, wanting to put his teeth to Sam's skin. :d

This Sam would still let him. Might even gasp and flinch away, might be from so long ago in their mutual timeline that he doesn't yet know the taste of his brother's skin.
Dean can see the spot he wants to mark when Sam shrugs, when he laughs (And isn't that a novelty. Dean drinks in the sound like water. He remembers Sammy from their first year on the road as sullen, reluctant, not this friendly laughing boy.) and the necklines of his hoodie and t-shirt gap away from his body, flash of smooth tanned skin. Dean can remember that Sam's scars don't stretch so high yet.
Dean's so busy not-watching the span of skin between Sam's neckline and jaw that he doesn't catch Sam watching him back, hazel eyes calculating underneath his floppy bangs. It's been eight years; Dean's forgotten how slippery his brother could be, underneath the gentleness.)

There is something broken inside of 2014!Dean (AND WE ALL KNOW WHAT IT IS THAT HE IS MISSING)
whysosensitive has a bunch of good stuff, and ramoniciu has some really pretty things although she only has a few posts of icons. Mostly my elegant icon-finding process was to go through the icon pages of bnfs, look for ones who credit and have nice icons, and search for good icon-makers through their credits.
