Tina was never particularly difficult to track down, and sickbay was always the best place to start. She was often there even when she wasn't scheduled to be.

But she was on the clock when James came looking, in any case, and greeted him with a smile when he came through the door.

"James?" she said. "What can I do for you?"

If there was any doubt in his mind that she'd had no idea who he was, or rather, that he wasn't who she thought he was, that night, it was gone now. She just smiled, uncomplicated and trusting. Wasn't a universal Chapel trait, for sure, but it seemed to ring true here, anyway.

Just a girl. What had he expected?

His friendly smile faded into a faint grimace. "Actually, I'm here on business," he said. "I think I broke a rib. Maybe wrenched my knee, too." He was sure a few bruises would appear, sooner or later, but he wasn't worried about those.

Tina's eyebrows went up. "Let's take a look," she said, leading him to a biobed. She patted the surface, indicating that he should take a seat. "What were you doing when you got hurt?"

He sat where indicated. She was all business, which was good, boring. "Sparring with Spock. This ship's Spock." He offered a wry, self-deprecating grin. "Guess Vulcans are stronger than they look."
