Anybody still left around here...?
In which your humble narrator resurfaces with a list of 10 GOOD THINGS
01.) Those people important to me are safe, healthy and not in the custody of the state. I have an income, a roof over my head, and sustenance. For these basic items, which should never be taken for granted, I remind myself to be grateful. After all, things could always be much worse and there is always the possibility for positive change in the future.
02.) Spent the weekend with My Lovely Bride-To-Be celebrating her recent birthday. She makes me so very happy, I can only hope I do likewise for her. November cannot get here fast enough.
03.) Speaking of which, I have a rough timetable for my relocation. As of Independence Day weekend - I will be residing up north and commuting on a wierd schedule back down the Design Dungeon until I find a new gig up there.
04.) Saturday, the Niece officially graduated from High School. I could not be prouder of her. Later this month she goes into the dorms for a pre-college program and then in August she goes back into my old dorm.
05.) Aced the Flash class. I am pretty proud of that.
06.) The crew starts digging the Ridgerunner's new driveway today. He expects to be in the new house by deer season.
07.) I am really glad to hear that many other folks were moved to tears by UP. I do not feel so unmanned now.
08.) BTW -The Lovely Bride-To-Be not only suggested seeing STAR TREK, but also suggested seeing it at the IMAX. Plus, she liked it - even never having seen the Original Series. Just for the record, let me proclaim: I HAVE THE BEST FIANCEÉ IN THE WORLD!!!
09.) The Little Red Truck is still going. *crosses fingers*
