5 AM
Good morning to all who may or may not read this thing anymore.
I think it has been 3 months since I last posted. There were times during the summer when I briefly felt like posting, then thought, meh what's the point right now.
But my summer has been event filled and interesting.
Nights up late, drinking, playing video games.
Nights spent in quiet contemplation.
Days in the beautiful sunshine.
Nights hanging out with people.
And of course getting to see friends before we all go off to do our own things again.
Except for seeing friends, none of that matters now at the end of summer for two reasons.
First, school is starting again on Monday, and I am so very excited for it.
Secondly, and more importantly
I have a girlfriend and she is one fantastic, wonderful, sweet, hilarious, beautiful person.
Here I go saying something I haven't put in this journal since I started it so many summers ago...
Life.Is.Good.
p.s. I'm still awake at 5 am for unknown reasons, my chair is starting to feel floaty, but it was all worth it because I finished Revelation Space by Alastair Reynolds. Some very good Science Fiction there and started S.M. Sterling's Dies the Fire.
