Hot here--expected to hit 100 this afternoon. But this morning, Jubilee and I went and did some rally run-thrus. We're entered in a trial in Fishersville, VA, this weekend--Novice B. This is what I am going to be teaching Jubilee and Hunter next. I've been doing similar work, with a concrete block, with Lynx and Oda, for agility training. Last night, Hunter had 3 boys and 2 girls via c-section. They are very large puppies (18 ounces for the biggest and 15.5 for the smallest), and the first in line got stuck and so surgery was necessary. Coal and Ruffian and Hunter found a skunk outside the back door. Now the whole yard reeks. The dogs are rank--I've put them in the kennel for the duration. I could bathe them, but I'm not up for it tonight ( Read more... )

My power went out around noon and stayed out for about 4 hours. It's back on now--here's hoping it stays that way! Even with the power out, I'm glad I'm here with all my critters safely where I can see them.

In the 4 hours the power was out, this much snow fell, about 4 inches--this the path I'd shoveled clear on the back stoop.
