I'm still rooting for Jack and the Duchess. Sure they have a lot to work out, but as Nick said in the commentary: they're two people trying to do the right thing but have had no role models in HOW to do the right thing. So of course they do it the wrong way.
So am I! Watching their relationship, though, I sort of got the feeling that Jack had trusted Duchess before his escape to New York, then overheard one of her conversations with the Queen about him, which can be ambiguous at best. I think at this point he would be slightly bitter and a bit terrified and kind of wishing he could just hop back through the mirror and go back to being Jack Chase, and Duchess is there, trying to be supportive and kind of getting the brunt of it.
