So guitar.
I've realised I've come to a point where I've got good enough not to get any better learning pussy rock and roll shit. I've learnt that, been there, done that, learnt the Hendrix. I need something that challenges me.
Metal.
So I'm downloading some metal songs with good solos in, Avenged Sevenfold (not really metal, but good harmonized solos), DragonForce (BATTLE METAL!), Iron Maiden, Steve Vai, all sorts. Basically I need to improve on my speed, technique and on composing solos, something which I've never done. Basically I need to learn to shred.
So.. yeah. Many days inside will be spent learning this stuff.
It all started when Caspian (safe guy) showed me DRAGONFORCE, the ultimate battle metal band. Such brilliant solos, such cheesy lyrics.
Mela Rosa gig yesterday, thanks for all those who turned. Probably was the second worst gig I've ever played, I wasn't expecting so many fake emo/goth people. So much so we just had to get a round of singing "if you're emo and you know it grow a fringe" going. Needless to say they weren't very happy. Missed out "C-A-V-I-L" one of the new ones. I took my top off. Highlight of everyones night.
