time to merge again

Ok, so Bush is president again. I found out in the afternoon that Kerry called Bush and congradulated him. I listened to Kerry's speach today and it was the first time i respected what he had to say (somewhat). It was very dignified and wasn't all about scandles and cheats. He took his defeat like a man and for that, i respect him. It was wierd to see that people my age didn't even get a slight raise in the voter turn out. I was so eager to vote and when i did, i really felt so proud to be an American where i actually HAVE the right to vote. And screw Osama with that bull trying to scare Americans into not voting for Bush. Shows him we will not run and hide in the face of a terrorist. There definately was some bashing and some gloting today, but i wasn't apart of it. All i can think right now is that we as a nation need to come back together now and unite. We are getting split more and more, republicans vs democrats, and what we have to remember is that this is America, we have the most diverse country in the world, and yet we still are the strongest. It is the diversity that makes us strong by keeping us open to ideas and better ways of life. I am a conservative, and damn proud of it, but almost all my friends are liberal. I do find it wierd but i have no problem with them having a different view of things. I feel i can learn from them and they can learn from me. I try to keep an open mind, but the only things that will not ever change are my morals. I know what is right and wrong, even though i make mistakes all the time. But its my fortitude in Jesus that will always put me back on my feet. I will get knocked down by others and even myself, but my roots are deep and will aways bring me back to the right path (morally speaking). So my fellow friends, let us put these squables aside and unite as we have in the past to become whole again and show progress through our future.
I love you all

God Bless
~Chris
