I can't believe Katin's been here for over four weeks already. In some respects, it feels like we just came home from the hospital, but in others it feels like we've always had her here. She has been just awesome -- and we're lucky that she doesn't have any signs of colic.
The ONLY thing that is kind of difficult about her is that during the day she will only sleep if being held. For example.. if she falls asleep and I set her down, her eyes pop right open. It makes it really hard to make food and do anything (go to the bathroom, take a shower, etc.) At night, however, she sleeps really well, only waking up every 2 or 3 hours to eat, then goes right back to sleep. I'm lucky ^___^
Having Katin really makes me miss being around my family even more than before, which I didn't think was possible. It was awesome to have my mom and Sydney here over the four day President's Day weekend, but it was so hard to watch them go. We're trying to plan Katin's first Illinois roadtrip for some time in April. We have many a friend and the rest of my family there that still needs to meet her.
Time really flies when you have a baby to keep you busy.
