Very nice beginning. I like the low level of terror you keep going here and how you bring us into this by focusing on the thoughts and experiences of Lenore - a reference to the Poe poem, I assume?

I was a little worried about the start being a bit too dark (most of the warnings are for this chapter, lol) but I'm glad it works for you :-)
