"Rowling, author of the sensationally popular series, has said two major characters will die but has begged the public not to give away the ending to her seventh and final Potter book."

Yeah, I am about 95% sure Hagrid will eat it. The reasoning is that JKR has openly stated again and again that she is fascinated by the ideas/theory of alchemy, and it definitely shows in the book. And then I stumbled upon this argument that a lot of people have been making that is...eerily accurate. Basically, it is that in the world of alchemy, there are basically three stages: The Black stage, the White stage, and the Red stage. Anywho, when reading about the changes the subject undergoes in each stage, it is EXACTLY what Harry goes through in each book. And then on top of that, in book 5, Sirius (Black) is the key authority (guiding) figure, and in the end he dies. In book 6, Dumbledore (Albus=White) is the guiding figure, and he bites it. If this theory proves correct (which I am damn sure it will), the next guiding figure will be Hagrid (Rubeus=Red), and he will die. However, his death will signify that Harry has completed his transformation/journey, and then he will proceed to kick Voldemort's butt.
Smeh, this explains it a lot better than I could

That would be way, way shocking and awesome if Neville killed Voldemort. On the subject of Neville, I think he is going to be the one student that JKR has said will wind up a teacher at Hogwarts when they grow up. He's definitely gonna become the herbology teacher.
I dunno how it's gonna come into play, but Malfoy will for sure come to the good side (lol it does sound like starwars).
GOD I am way too excited about this book!
