Title : Memories
Rating : Fluff, reflection
Genre : PG
Summay : Looking back at what happened
Author's Note : I wrote this without mentioning either Ian or Anthony's names so I could show that they could both be thinking the same thing. This is shows that they are so similar, yet they are different. That is what make them seem like they are perfect for each other. Look I'm getting philisoical!! Hope you enjoy.

Pictures.

Moments in time.

Captured moments in time.

You can look at them and remember everything.

What it was like.

Who you were with.

How you felt.

I stare at the pictures on the mantel piece, on shelves, everywhere.

Pictures of our family our daughters, Molly and Rachel, and our son, Henry.

Pictures of their families, pictures of them growing up.

Molly’s graduation, Rachel’s first place in the science fair, Henry’s first football game.

Memories.

Memories of long forgotten friends, of long forgotten places, of long forgotten woes.

Pictures capture these memories and store them forever, so you may never forget.

My favourite picture, my favourite memory is by my bed.

The wedding.

Outside, in the sun by a lake with all our friends.

He wore the black tux, I the cream.

He always said I was the most effeminate of our pair.

Around are pictures of other treasured moments.

Our honeymoon.

Our children’s births.

Our 5th, 10th, 25th Anniversaries.

I smile.

How can I not?

I turn and stare at the bed.

He’s still there, sleeping soundly.

We’ve both changed a lot since the pictures were taken.

We’ve grown older, wiser, wrinkly.

We haven’t changed completely, our eyes still sparkle like they did when we were younger.

I wriggle back under the covers and kiss my husband on the cheek, waking him up.

“Happy Anniversary” I say.

“50 years today” he replies.

50 years, half a century of bliss.

I glance at the pictures and smile.

Who would’ve thought that we’d get this far.

Hope you enjoyed it and feel free to tell me how corny it was.
