This was something I wrote awhile back.

The statistics came from RAINN, and they may have changed.

I made it public....

If a rape is reported, there is a 50.8% chance of arrest.

If an arrest is made, there is an 80% chance of prosecution.

If there is prosecution, there is a 69% chance of conviction.

So even in the 39% of attacks actually reported to the police, there is only a 16.3% chance the rapist will end up in prison.

Factoring in unreported rapes, about 6% of rapists spend even one day in jail.
15 of 16 walk free.

Two out of three rapes were committed by someone the victim knew.

My two cents:

As a young woman, and at that, an ATTRACTIVE one, I won't be afraid.
I won't hide myself behind baggy clothes just because you can't keep your eyes in your heads and your dicks in your pants.
Instead, I'll wear my rage.
I'll bare my skin without shame, because this is how it should be.

As a woman who has been subjected to more than one kind of sexual assault, as well as physical and emotional abuse inflicted by a male, I refuse to keep my obnoxious mouth shut.

We are a generation of girls without adequate fathers. Girls who watch their mothers bend and break under the pressure. Little girls taught to be meek and afraid, rather than taught about fighting back, and how to say no to what we don't want.

Part of this issue, I think, is society's unwillingness to allow females to express themselves sexually.
Men being utter pigs is somehow more socially acceptable than women enjoying a good fuck every now and then.

I say fuck that. Boys and girls alike like to screw; that's just natural.

But I'm just a skank, right? Just a dirty slut?
Yeah?

Well fuck you too.

You can't even really blame them, though.
They are a generation of boys raised on beer commercials and porn. Taught to think fake tits and shaved pussies are attractive.
Fed an altered, air-brushed standard of feminine beauty at a very young age that distracts from the real and breathing beauty walking down their street every day.

A false standard of beauty that we are expected to compete with.

Yeah, I know. I'm a hairy nasty slut of a feminist that probably doesn't wear a bra. Is that what you're imagining?
I'm not a man-hater. I'm not a feminist, really, either. I believe in equality.

It's not really about shaving, particularly.

Or beer commercials, or plastic surgery or even rape, really.
I'm not saying we should do any one thing outwardly, like burn our bras, or quit landscaping our pits and pubes.
I'm looking for a change of attitude, an opening of ideas, in men and women alike.

I want to see a day when a girl isn't looked down upon for having sexual desires, curiosities, and even fetishes.
And when a guy can respect the sanctity of not only the female body but also the mind and heart, and in turn, girls will love themselves. We all should.

I don't know how far this will go, or if it means anything to you. Like I said, this is my two cents.

"Some of these dumb hoes, those slut rocker bitches walking down the street,
they're asking for it, they may deny it but it's true."

Lay me spread eagle out on your hill, yeah
Then write a book bout how I wanted to die
It's hard to talk with your dick in my mouth
I will try to scream in pain a little nicer next time

I'm so sorry if I'm alienating some of you
Your whole fucking culture alienates me
I can not scream from pain down here on my knees
I'm so sorry that I think
