Okay, so despite the fact that two of my friends told me not to, I played that Spyro game.
It was terrible. Not in the "OH GOD, IT BURRRNS!" way, but more in the "Gee, this game is rather sucky!" way. Although I'm being VERY lenient here because the music was very pretty and the game style kind of reminded me of Legend of Kay. And dammit, I LIKED Legend of Kay. :C
-HOLY SHIT WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE GOOFY FUN NPCS. ALL THE NPCS IN THIS GAME DO IS MAKE CRYPTIC REMARKS AND BITCH ABOUT HOW THEIR HOUSE IS ON FIRE OR HOW THEIR CATAPAULT IS OUT OF AMMO.
-W-why do all the adult dragons have teeth like Barney the dinosaur. Seriously, that is NOT a look you should go for when the evil dragon is purple.
-The "omg you can FLY ANYWHERE ISN'T THIS GREAT" thing is kind of bullshit. They'll only let you do it TO A DEGREE. And I don't just mean reasonable "there's a boundary around the level you can't cross" or "you can't fly when you're carrying weights", either. If the game wants you to climb some vines or run along the side of a wall to get to an area, then it's not gonna let you fly to that area. D:
-Wait what this dragon is not Spyro. he is bland and personalityless. And so is his female counterpart/love interest/Mary-Sue. They have no personality past occasion AAAANGST!. Seriously.
-...Now I think about it, the whole STORY is bland and personalityless. Bah.
-Hunter is basically a different character. That is also named Hunter. And Sparx has changed from a Kazoo-voiced plucky sidekick into a goofy, semi-cowardly sidekick. YOU KNOW, THE ROLE THE ORIGINAL HUNTER FILLED :D
-O hay that love story was totally not shoehorned in at the last second and by the way I AM LYING. :| It'd be a bigger surprise if she DIDN'T turn out to be his love interest.

QUICKTIME EVENTS. So, in summation: Totally trading this pile of bland blandness in for something cooler next time I'm up by Gamesmaster. >_>
